A superb example of the 5c dark blue 1962 Jean Talon Issue First Day Cover. Light blue and red cachet of unknown origin showing Talon and a settlement. The envelope is on stock giving a high fluorescent bluish white under ultraviolet light, while the stamp is printed on paper giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light. The stamp is tied by a crisp strike of an Ottawa wavy line first day cancel. The cover offered here grades SUP-97 as follows:

Intactness of the cover: 25/25

Paper freshness from the front: 25/25

Paper freshness from the back: 10/10

Condition of the paper and edges: 15/15

Appearance of the handwriting: 5/5 (unaddressed)

Clarity of the postal markings: 15/15

Condition of the stamps: 3/5

Unitrade lists a Rosecraft or Artcraft cachet for a single stamp on cover for $2. This one should be worth more, as it is less common. Note: the above scan is a stock photo as are all my scans for material after 1952. The cover you will receive has been carefully checked to adhere to the above grading standards, so while it (they) may not be exactly the same, it (they) will be of the same quality.
