Collection: Current Weekly Auction - Closing Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:30 pm Atlantic Time

Welcome to our weekly unreserved auction! This week we offer a little of the butterfly and insect theme, but have resumed offering the modern material by country, and so we start with US from approximately 1990 and onward.

We also have decided to offer our classic pre-1940 collection of Worldwide Sock-On-The-Nose Cancels with countries from US to Germany. These are all one in a hundred examples selected for overall eye appeal. While not all are perfectly centered, the cancellations are all superb strikes. So, you will see many individual lots for stamps cataloging less than $5, which you will look forever to be able to improve upon. So, we have been very liberal in listing them individually.

Canada this week will be represented by a two themes: the continuation of Sock-On-The-Nose cancels and light cancels for the 1950's material, including many of the better paper varieties on the 1954-1962 Wilding Issues. Included in this are some new discoveries which are NOT listed in Unitrade, of hibrite papers and a fluorescent ink on the 4c violet booklet stamp. Secondly, a specialized offering of the commemorative issues for 1984 and 1985.

There are will be over 500 lots this week. The first 114 are listed tonight, with the balance to follow tomorrow, Friday and possibly a little on Saturday.

If you are new to the auction, please visit our FAQ page for a description of all the relevant terms and conditions. Please also note that all Canadian residents will be charged appropriate sales taxes based on where they reside.
